It rained a few times yesterday. I sat out on the back porch so I could experience the pounding on the roof better. Perhaps things cooled off a bit. Pete didn’t feel very well. No walk this morning. I stayed up till after 1am watching iZombie (my new favorite series to stream) and when the alarm went off of at 5:30 I just felt too tired and stiff to get up before sunrise. Kathy's going to her gallery meeting this morning and I'm staying home with Pete.

Writing prompt for today: Coffee. The one addiction I’m absolutely not willing to give up. I tried quitting for about a month a few years ago but felt like I couldn’t function. Got up early (5:30 - my usual alarm). Dark. I made coffee with Kathy's Keurig coffee pot by feel. Turned on one lamp, far from Pete and Kathy's room so I don't wake them, and read on my phone till it started to get a little light. The service yesterday for my cousin Rosie's son Louis was beautiful and sad and impressive of the amount of love that he gave people during his life. His brother Chris officiated and Chris' 3 children spoke of the love they had for Uncle Lou. That was the tearjerker. He was like a second father to those kids and doted on them.
